The second phase of this project involved Mitchell Brothers working as a subcontractor to handle all mechanical, electrical, test and balance, and installation of 14 new air handling units. 10 of these air handling units were installed inside of the structure and 4 of the air handling units were installed on the roof. Other renovations included replacing the ceilings, painting all paintable surfaces, replacing all existing ductwork, and installing an all new lighting system.
The technical aspect of this phase of the project involved designing and installing a sterile processing department for use by the personnel within the hospital. This phase also involved coordinating multiple lift plans to remove and replace the existing air handling units, each weighing between 12 and 15 thousand pounds.
