Marine Corp Air Station Officer’s Club, MCAS, Beaufort, SC

This project consisted of the complete rehabilitation of the MCAS Officer’s Club. The demolition and exterior work included asbestos/lead abatement, restructuring the walls to current seismic standards, and a standing seam roof system including the supporting structures designed to meet I‐90 standards. Mechanical systems included new plumbing, a new HVAC system with Direct Digital controls, outside air for the smoking room, an interior fire protection system, all new electrical work, a new data/communication system, and the installation of government furnished galley/bar equipment.

A complete interior renovation included all new wall surfaces with oak trim throughout and brick walls in the Fighter Bar, floor treatments included engineered wood flooring, carpet, ceramic and quarry tile. Ceiling finishes included reinforced fiberglass panels with an aluminum grid system was installed in the galley area. The Santini Bar received a designer ceiling treatment with oak crown moldings installed. An operable partition to enhance the functionality of the main room was also installed.

Landscaping included centipede sod, plants and an irrigation system. Landscaping features installed included park benches, a multi‐colored finishing system on all of the concrete walks and a graphic representation of an F‐18 was installed in the patio area.
