Building 700 is a 35,000 square foot, two storied, brick building which is listed on the National Register of Historical Buildings. This building’s current use is for the housing of permanent personnel.

The extensive renovation of building 700 was accomplished in three phases. This phased approach to construction allowed the unaffected portions of the building to remain functional.

The architectural repairs included extensive asbestos and lead paint abatement, structural building repairs, the repair or replacement of all interior finishes including gypsum rehabilitation, painting, new ceramic tile bathrooms, and new carpet and VCT floor finishes.

The mechanical system upgrades included sewer system repair (replacement of plumbing fixtures, trim and piping), HVAC upgrades including the installation of a cooling tower, chiller, pumps, ERU, AHU’s, steam system conversion, individual fan coil units and humidistats, all with Direct Digital controls.

The electrical system included repairs to a high-voltage transformer, replacement of 400 AMP panel, lighting fixtures and an installation of a CAT5 telecommunication system.

Fire protection systems include a wet and dry sprinkler system and a complete fire alarm.
